Supervision Services

Supervision is the art of meeting with one another and making an effort to construct more effective ways of helping others. I offer supervision to students and professionals at various stages in their counselling practice journey. My supervisory practice leans towards educational, supportive and a managerial focus. I also offer cultural supervision.

Counselling Services

I know counselling can be a valuable source of support and encouragement for people. As a counsellor my role is to support as well as, facilitate individuals to grow through the problem or concern they have to face. Counsellors support a person to make positive decisions and changes in their life through more exploration of how they deal with their concern/s. I view counselling as a chance for people to talk in private, outside their situation, in a safe environment with a person who will not be hurt, upset or burdened with their worries or by what they say. It can be a great relief to talk to someone who will really listen, try to understand them and who are not part of the problem itself.

Depending on your goals, Perspective Counselling Services can help you develop or build skills (e.g., communication, or emotion regulation) to address or cope with concerns. The same approach doesn’t fit everyone and I recognize this in my practice. The therapeutic approach(es) employed to support meeting the therapy goals set will depend on your concerns and best practice recommendations.
